More than two years after French Garden closed its doors after its 15 years in business with an unsuccessful stint as Señor Fish somewhere between then and now, the location seems finally back on track with the planned opening of the long-awaited Everson Royce Bar (simply called ERB). This Friday, ERB begins opening its doors at 5pm and ambitiously plans to close at 2am daily.
The bar-eatery concept is a collaboration between Matt Molino and Randy Clement of Silverlake Wine who worked together years ago. I stopped by the space today, luckily in the midst of an Indie Wineries tasting. The team seems committed to creating a great neighborhood hangout with great food, great drinks, and of course, with Silverlake Wine Arts District next door, great wine. Looking forward to a long, good run in DTLA!
